So what is the solution? A Prom Dress Register?

1. Can I use the Dress Shop Register?
It is a good start ... as some of the better retailers will keep a register of Prom dresses that have been purchased to be worn at your school Prom .... but have they checked with every other retailer that supplies to your school? Or those other national online retailers, or those across the country that are happy to supply to your school? Or the global online sites?

So the chances of duplications are much worse and very real!!!

2. Can I just use a Google Sheet / School website / Facebook / Insta?
Again ..., a good start, but is it the definitive source as your school Prom Dress Register?
Is the register kept up to date? Minute by minute?
How can you tell if two people are buying the same dress or if the list is out of date?

3. Is a Google sheet visible to everyone? Can they / anyone find it? Is it password protected? Can they enter their Prom Dress directly - or do they have to wait for an Admin person to be available to do this? What if the Admin person missed your request / message? So many things that increase the chances of disaster.

Many people overlook the importance of a Prom Dress Register

4. What about your partner - you could have spoilt their Prom night as well .... as being forever talked about as the Prom Twins Disaster ... rather than as their once in a lifetime magical Prom. So essentially there are four people that have their lifetime memories ruined and captured in really awkward photos / videos .... of you and your partner. The other girl and her partner. Keep in mind that the photos and video will record it forever!!!

5. What about when another classmate buys their Prom dress pre-loved? From a Prom Dress marketplace or reseller boutique? It is never recorded with any merchants Prom Dress Registers? So it is a sleeper waiting to ruin the night for two girls and two partners!!!

6. What about a donated Prom Dress? Again ... not showing up on any Prom Dress Register. How would you know that a classmate had a dress given to them by someone at another school? Super awkward on the night, super disappointing for the rest of your life.
